Bulk storage silos are containers, meant for storage of bulk stock. They are used as for short-term storing (transshipment) as well as for long-term warehousing of bulk stock construction materials and food products.

EuroTankWorks offers storage silos for sale: for all kinds of bulk stock according to the Customer’s design project or on turnkey basis – from the initial stages of design documents to the following manufacturing of silos and installation of the finished units at the construction site.

The range of silo types produced and entered into operation by our company includes bulk storage silos for cement and other construction materials, silo tanks for storing grain, flour, malt, etc., all of 5 m³ to 1000 m³ loading capacity.

Bulk Storage Silo Types:

The general types of silo tanks, manufactured by EuroTankWork, are as follows:

A storage silo for cement and other bulk construction materials;
A bulk silo tank for grain and bulk dry food products for long-term storage;
A silo tank for grain and bulk dry food products for short-term storage.

These silo frameworks differ in material (as regards the requirements for storage of the exact product), and in construction details (a flat bottom is used for long-term storage, conical shape of the bottom is for short-term warehousing and transshipment).

Silo tanks are used in industrial and agricultural sectors for loading, warehousing and metered (dosed) discharge of all kinds of bulk materials and products, both organic and non-organic.

Bulk storage silos for organic, especially food products, are made of high-quality galvanized steel. Ferrous metal-roll is allowed for production of silo tanks for cement, calcium sulphate, dust, sand, silt, lime carbonate.

Bulk silo design:

A bulk silo tank consists of a vertical cylindrical shell. Depending on the type of silo the roof is made either conical or flat. Silos for short-term storage of grain / flour / food products have conical bottom, installed on supporting frame, which height depends on the way of discharge of the bulk stock. The bottom of silos for long-term storage of grain / flour / food products is made flat, providing the clean-up screw for the discharge purposes.

The roof of silos bears inspection man-way giving the access to the inside for providing service. A silo is also equipped with stairways, shell walkways and the deck on the roof with a fence.

Bulk Silo Equipment

EuroTankWorks provides inspection sensors for top-level, bottom and medium positioning for its storage silos. The data from the sensor is transmitted to the control room or to the shut-off valves.

For the sake of constant feed and discharge of the product a vibrating device is provided at the lower part of the silo.

Our production facility is equipped with automated and auto-manual welding equipment Lincoln Electric and modern equipment for metal preparation (sheet metal leveling machines, edge processing equipment, mechanical processing devices). This ensures high quality of the welding joints, exact geometric parameters of the finished unit and operational efficiency of production.

The warranty period for our silo tanks is equal to 18 months from the start-up or 24 months from the date of delivery.

Metal structures of large-size silos are brought to the construction site in the form of prepared panels and segment parts for further assembling.

Silo tanks having appropriate for transportation dimensions are supplied in the form of fully welded units.

In case of necessity to prevent frost penetration to the stock of a steel silo the outer surface of the tank is insulated in the course of installation. Special lacquers and coating are used as corrosion-preventing materials. These procedures are to be performed in the course of assembling and installation.

Bulk Silo Construction & Installation:

On the Customer’s request the metal frameworks of silos may be installed by our construction and assembling team, that consists of highly-skilled specialists, that has the full set of permission documents and rich experience in construction and assembling.

We recommend to order bulk silos on turnkey basis from one and the same contractor. In this case we bear the full responsibility for the equipment from the stage of the engineering design to entering into the operation. In this case we will be able to reduce the cost of materials, delivery logistics expenses, as well as to install our metal frameworks quickly and effectively, providing the excellent documentation procedure.
